It’s a slightly heavier choice (1350g), but very generously proportioned at 220cm long and 80cm wide. The comfort rating is 2°C which seems a fair assessment of my experience when testing in spring conditions. Vaude don’t skimp on materials and features – there is a snuggly neck baffle that can be secured with poppers to keep heat in, a good three-dimensional hood and a roomy footbox. The components are chunky and durable and the fill has a down-like compressibility. At this price, it’s a bit of affordable luxury, ideal for car camping, DofE expeditions, and overland adventures. It’s particularly good for tall people looking for warmth and a cosy sleep rather than weight savings.
