Made of 100%, 200gm Merino wool and as such is very comfortable against the skin. Care instructions are printed and seams are low profile and flat locked seams, so there’s nothing to rub or chafe. The sleeves are long which kept my hands warm when using the thumb loops, and while the hood isn’t adjustable as is claimed, it does fit snugly and has a double layer of fabric for extra warmth. The front zip sits high enough to cover the neck, and has a placket behind and an added guard at the top for comfort. The merino seems to be exceptionally high quality and it has withstood many more days of wear than it should have had, before needing a wash! This has been a great all rounder, and is flattering enough to wear around town too. It’s worked equally well as a base layer in conjunction with other layers during the autumn, or as a standalone in the summer. It may not be cheap, but you do get what you pay for.
