At the other end of the weather scale, these wellies seem to be the one wet weather footwear to rule them all. The outer is very sturdy natural rubber, with a PFC free coating, and has proved to be absolutely waterproof (and the west coast of Scotland has been a good test this spring!). Inside, there’s a fleecy liner, which provides warmth in cooler conditions, but not so much that these won’t also work for cool, rainy summer outings too. At the top, there’s an elasticated sleeve to further shut the weather out – excellent if the boots are worn outside clothing. These come up roomy, but our little one seems to manage fine in them. Not as cheap as some, but a very solid all weather option, and unisex to boot.
VERDICT: All season, totally waterproof, very durable.
BEST FOR: Summer downpours to winter puddle splashing.
