The Greenwood GV boots are an update on the Tribe GV, which get a makeover for 2018. Sad to see the designer couldn’t bring the women’s colour into the 21st century (pink) but the classic technical features worked well. The key change is the sole made from Vibram Megagrip which did provide good traction on rock, mud and vegetation, both wet and dry. The cuff has also been upgraded with lycra to hug the ankle and provide comfortable support. The boots are constructed from a single piece of water resistant leather with a Gore-Tex lining, meaning feet stay dry when the weather turns. The Greenwood GVs are a good choice for a comfortable and waterproof boot, and the price is favourable too. 676g, B1 rated.
VERDICT: Classic style with good technical features.
BEST FOR: Solid performance over a range of terrains.
