Mountain Warehouse has teamed up with popular adventurer, TV presenter and author Simon Reeve, to become the ambassador for this year’s instalment of the Charity Challenge.
The annual initiative, which encourages members of the public up and down the country to set themselves daring, outdoor challenges to raise money for charity, returns for its fourth year with a prize fund of £10,000.
This year, as well as the impressive £10,000 prize for charity, Mountain Warehouse is offering the lucky winner the opportunity of a lifetime; to undertake Simon’s own Charity Challenge, alongside the adventurer himself.
During his time as an adventurer Simon has become one of Britain’s most widely travelled citizens. Simon has visited over 110 countries and is no stranger to adrenaline-fuelled activities, breathtaking ventures and awe-inspiring experiences; making him the ideal ambassador for Mountain Warehouse’s 2016 Charity Challenge.
Simon Reeve comments: “I’m chuffed to be part of Mountain Warehouse’s Charity Challenge this year. It’s is a wonderful initiative, which not only gets Brits outdoors and active, but also raises money for charities across the UK. The campaign also offers a great opportunity for one lucky applicant to do something they’ve always dreamed of. I’m looking forward to meeting all the shortlisters for an outdoor activity day, and then eventually meeting the winner who will accompany me on my own Charity Challenge.”
To take part in the Charity Challenge entrants need to visit http://www.mountainwarehouse.com/competitions/charity/
and provide details on why they have chosen their charity, alongside a photo or video to represent their challenge. All entrants will have their own page in order to share and encourage their friends and family to vote. Any challenges that have already been completed in 2016 can be entered in this year’s competition, as well as any future endeavours taking place this year.
Mark Neal, founder of Mountain Warehouse comments: “It is great to have Simon on board as our ambassador for this year’s Charity Challenge, he is a truly inspiring man and I’m really looking forward to our collaboration. At Mountain Warehouse we are enthusiastic about supporting charities, getting outdoors and pushing your limits. We hope that 2016 will see more entrants than ever before.”
Entries close on 31st July 2016. The winner will be based on public voting over two rounds. The final winner will be announced on 19th September 2016.
