One of the country’s most esteemed mountaineers, record-breaking climber Alan Hinkes will be giving a series of lectures at next week’s Telegraph Outdoor & Adventure Travel Show. One of several high-profile outdoor professionals giving talks at the event, Alan will share his experiences climbing the world’s highest mountains.
The first Briton to successfully climb all 14 of the world‘s 8000m peaks including Everest, K2 and Kangchenjunga; Alan is one of just 12 people to ever achieve this feat. Offering an insider’s view of these epic ascents, Alan’s lectures will take listeners through his experiences from the successes to the near misses. From base camp to mountain summits, Alan will share his own experience of the beauty, harshness and danger of the world’s highest mountains.
