The TK1 is a unisex trekking sock in a range of colours and pleasingly precise sizes – I tested a 41-42. Not only that but they are labeled left and right, with subtle differences in the zoned padding. The yarn is a blend of 42% Polypropylene with excellent moisture management properties, with Nylon, Acrylic and Merino (20% wool). Thanks to a high synthetic content, they dry quickly, practical for multi day use expeditions. As you would expect of a walking sock, there is cushioning under the foot, and reinforced areas around the heel and toes. The ankle cuff is very stretchy but stays up well without cutting-in thanks to a ribbed knit. They are warm, ideal for year round use.
VERDICT: A comfortable walking sock.
BEST FOR: Year round trekking.
