The latest Samsung Internet beta gets new search and privacy features

Samsung has released a beta update Samsung Internet web browser for Android devices. The updated version of the application brings two very useful features that will make surfing the web on this application much easier and safer than before.

The first feature is the ability to search the browser’s bookmarks folder and tab groups. If you save a lot of bookmarks or open many tabs, you know that it can be difficult to find the bookmark or tab you want. With the updated version of the app, you can just type the bookmark or tab you are looking for in the search box and the app will fetch it for you.

The other feature is the ability to delete browsing history within a specified date range. For example, if you clear your browsing data with the date range set to 1 week, the browser will delete your browsing history for the past 7 days but keep your previous browsing history. Earlier, the only option people had was to delete their entire browsing history.

Both features have been available in browsers like Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge for a very long time. While Samsung is late to the party, we’re glad it’s at least here. Expect both features to trickle out to the stable version of the app very soon. In the meantime, you can download Samsung Internet Browser Beta either from Google Play Store or the Galaxy store.
