Rams fans take to the streets in downtown Los Angeles to celebrate Super Bowl victory, LAPD declares gathering illegal

LOS ANGELES (CABC) – Hundreds of Rams fans took to the streets in downtown Los Angeles Sunday night to celebrate the Super Bowl’s victory over the Cincinnati Bengals at Sophie Stadium.

The Los Angeles Police Department declared the celebration an illegal gathering, and “issued a dispersal order in District 11 and Hope Street.”

“Crowd will disperse east on 11th Street and heading south on Hope from 11th Street immediately,” the Los Angeles Police Department wrote on Twitter.

A video clip of the scene shows a large crowd of people dancing and partying in the street as several cars try to pass. At one point, several people were seen jumping over one of the vehicles passing through the area.

Fireworks were also set off in the middle of the street several times during the celebration gathering in downtown Los Angeles

“We are asking those who are celebrating tonight, to celebrate responsibly,” the Los Angeles Police said. “Don’t allow your actions to tarnish our wonderful Super Bowl victory.”
