James Gunn has a scathing response to the claim that he doesn’t like Henry Cavill

James Gunn shut down rumors that he doesn’t like Henry Cavill.

The newly appointed co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios has been asked many questions by fans on Twitter about the future of DC films.

On a different Twitter thread, Jan, 56, also responded to a fan who tweeted that the director doesn’t like Cavill.

The The Witcher The star made a surprise comeback as Superman in the mid-credits show during Dwayne Johnson Black Adam earlier this year. This was his first appearance in the role since the 2017 Zack Snyder movie Justice League.

When asked by another fan to comment on Gunn’s alleged bad feelings towards Cavill, the director replied, “Sure: wrong.”

The fan who posted the original claim replied: “More people have reached out to me since you said this to tell me you really don’t like him. Just saying what I heard.”

Gunn replied: “Very strange. You seem so connected! Anyway, forty people called me to say you just got kicked out of your mother’s basement. So sorry, man.”

Also on Twitter, Gunn said that returning Superman to the big screen was “a huge priority, if not the biggest priority”.

In October, Cavill said he was “very excited” about Gunn’s new role at DC Studios and said he was looking forward to playing a “very joyful” Superman in the future.

About Green Lantern’s future, Gunn responded to the tweet by writing: “Important.”

However, he made it clear that Ryan Reynolds – who portrayed the character in the 2011 film that lampooned him deeply – has no plans to reprise the role.

When a Twitter user claimed Reynolds intended to reprise the part of Zack Snyder instead, Gunn said, “It wasn’t.”

Earlier this week, Gunn tweeted that many decisions about the DCEU (DC Extended Universe) still need to be made.

“Although this first month in Washington has been productive,” he wrote, “building the story over the next ten years takes time and we’re still just beginning.”
