Govt-19: Citigroup fires non-vaccinated employees

Citigroup, the third largest bank in the United States, was the first major financial institution to express its intention to lay off anyone who had not been vaccinated.

The bank had already said in October that all employees should be vaccinated, in line with the Joe Biden-led administration’s directive that government-hired employees need to be vaccinated.

However, Citigroup did not announce the dismissal of those who had not been vaccinated at the time.
