The war continues and Ukraine is an increasingly devastated country, crippled by the Russian invasion. There are horrifying pictures and the most recent one shared by Reuters shows the complete destruction of Bagmut.
A drone shows total destruction in Buckmutt
A Ukrainian military drone showed the eastern city of Baghmut in ruins. A video released on March 24 shows massive destruction in a residential area of the city, located in the Donetsk region. The location of the footage has been verified, but the date it was taken is unknown.
Pakmut is one of the main Russian targets in its bid to fully capture Ukraine's industrialized Donbass region. At one point, Russian commanders expressed hope that the city would soon fall, but these claims were tempered amid heavy fighting.
In recent days, Ukraine has again accused Russia of using white phosphorus bombs in attacks on Baghmuth. Images were released of alleged use of these weapons in bombings of the city. The use of white phosphorus and other incendiary weapons is prohibited under international law in areas where there may be civilian concentrations.
Drones play a major role in this war. They are a device for defense, strategy, attack, espionage and even documenting savagery.
