The Polytechnic and University Higher Education Cooperative (CESPU) is hosting a forum on June 16, titled ‘Pensar as Citades’. The event, which is part of the ‘ioCity – The city does not wait’ project, has as its main theme ‘Sustainability and innovation – the path to the future!’

Organized by IOTech with the support of Vila Nova de Famalicão City Council and CeNTI – Center for Nanotechnology and Smart Materials, the forum will take place from 9am to 5pm. Its aim is to improve communication between municipalities and various institutions operating in the context of cities, such as universities and research and development (R&D) centres. Opportunities and challenges to make cities more sustainable and smart by 2030 will be discussed.

Participation in the forum is free, but limited to two people per organization. To participate, pre-registration is required through the website https://forumpensarascidades.eu, where the full program of the event is available.

Apart from two round tables, the forum will have two guest speakers. The highlight will be the final presentation and demonstration of the iOcity project.
