Brazilian drug dealer Anderson Lacerda Pereira hid €25 million he raised from drug sales to Europe. The criminal followed Colombian Pablo Escobar, namely by inflicting extreme violence on his opponents.
Known as “Gordão”, he was arrested on September 5 and is in a high-security prison in São Paulo.

Courtao, who has been wanted by police since 2017, had crime records on his cell phone. He is said to have gained notoriety in the world of smuggling after serving as an intermediary in the sale of cocaine between Brazilian drug lord Margola (who is also in prison) and the Italian mafia.
The wealth amassed from drug sales was estimated by the police at 130 million reis (about 25 million euros).
