Two staff members were found dead in the back room of the Feldman Ecopark Zoo in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The men went missing this March.
When the war broke out, two staff members stayed at the park to feed the animals. Feldman Ecopark mourned the deaths of two “wonderful and brave” men and condemned the “inhumane behavior” of Russian forces.
In all, since the beginning of the conflict, five employees of the zoo have died, which is the target of Russia’s violent bombings. Much of the park was destroyed, at least 100 animals lost their lives and many have already been removed from the premises.
