The Nurse Victoria Taylor, who has been missing in the United Kingdom since September 30, was found dead near the home where she was last seen in Maldon, North Yorkshire on Tuesday, Sky News quoted local police as saying.
Deputy political leader Wayne Fox said the body was found in the River Derwent by underwater search teams after the 34-year-old’s personal effects had already been recovered. The body is yet to be formally identified, but the family has been informed.
“While today’s outcome was not to anyone’s liking, Victoria’s family have asked me once again to express their gratitude to North Yorkshire Police and other emergency services in their efforts to locate her,” said Wayne Fox.
On the day she went missing, Victoria Taylor was caught on video surveillance walking towards a children’s playground near the riverbank. He was officially reported missing on October 1.
