The new dG (digital guide) is the world’s first long-range optical device to offer digital animal identification.
Available to purchase from April, the new product comes equipped with 8x magnification, making it easy to identify birds and animals at longer distances, and with the push of a button your observations are transferred to the dG Mammals or Merlin Bird ID app for automatic identification. Your smartphone then instantly reveals which animal you have seen.
In addition, the integrated, high-resolution (13 MP) camera allows you to capture images and videos of your observations and save them in the Swarvoski Optik dG app. You can then share your photos and videos via the app on your smartphone.
“The fascination of nature lies in its details. The exciting new dG not only provides you with unique experiences but also helps you to identify the birds and mammals you see. On top of that, the digital guide makes it easy to share your observations with other like-minded nature-lovers,” comments Carina Schiestl-Swarovski, chairwoman of the executive board at Swarovski Optik.
The Swarvoski Optik dG will be available on 1 April from selected retailers and online at www.swarovskioptik.com
