The Terralight goes up in a few minutes, although it is worth taking the time to angle the end poles correctly to get a reasonably taut fly. Guy lines provide stability and the inner clips in to the outer skin. Inside it is wide enough for two mats, just, but most people will prefer to use this as a one-person shelter, albeit a fairly heavy one at 1750g. The porch area is small, but big enough for one pack, boots and stove. It’s an inherently stable design, and Vaude have opted for solid and durable materials, particularly the 75D PU coated flysheet. On test the tent coped well with condensation on cold nights, even when brewing up in the porch. Overall, a great value single person tent for occasions when weight is not an issue, for example on a canoe trip, but it is heavy for one and quite small for two.
