Home 2 Person Tents Vaude Hogan UL2

Vaude Hogan UL2

This is a roomy on the inside, compact on the outside trekking shelter with a single, usable porch. It’s not as lightweight as some here but split between 2 people it’s less than a kilo each, which is more than fair enough for something as well built as this. The struts at the rear and the beak at the front mean there’s a lot of usable space inside – it has the best headroom of any of the traditional tent-like shelters here. Inside, there are 2 large pockets and even an internal drying line! Guylines are in useful places and once set up this is very weather worthy. I was a little dubious about the strut design, as these make direct contact with the outer, and since this is a tunnel design it’s likely these would bear the brunt of any serious weather. It’s also worth bearing in mind that the Hogan is freestanding (good for snow and sand) and inner first (less effective for rainy day setups). Weight 1860g
