Exceptional clarity and tiny size teamed with an intimidating price tag about sums these binoculars up. The focus here seems to be field sports, hence the 10x zoom and 25mm lenses, and while the only shooting I do involves a camera not a gun, those specs plus the diminutive size (pictured here modelled by my 5 year old) meant that these bins were ideal to backpack with. There are individually adjustable eyecups (for eyeglass wearers), both lenses fold individually from a central hinge, and the dual focus rings allow for pin sharp focus. There’s a nice case which can be clipped to a rucksack strap. The experience is positively 3 dimensional, ever so slightly warmer in colour temperature than others here, but all that quality at this size comes at a price that might be prohibitive for all but the keenest wildlife or sports fan. Lightweight at about 350g.
▶ Best for: Sports, field sports and backpacking.
▶ Verdict: Super sharp but super expensive.
