I didn’t find this as cosy as its advertised comfort rating of 0°C (extreme -5°C), but I’m a cold sleeper who easily feels the chill. I do like the soft lining made from TS1 Thermal Suede, which feels warm to touch when you get in. The Softie Premier insulation is pliable and supple, and the bag itself is has a tough simplicity. Without a neck baffle or other frills, the weight comes in at a respectable 1100g despite the generous 220cm x 83cm proportions. Its compatible with Snugpak’s summer weight expander panel, which adds a further 40cm to the diameter. Very good value for money; it’s a reasonable option for larger people and those on a budget.
