Alan Hinkes to become brand ambassador for Grower’s Cup
Alan Hinkes OBE [pictured left], has agreed to be an ambassador for Grower’s Cup. Grower’s Cup is the organic, fairly traded, fresh coffee-in-a-bag concept that was launched last year to much acclaim – it recently won an OutDoor award at this year’s trade show in Friedrichshafen. Hinkes – the British Mountaineer famous for summiting all 14 mountains with elevations greater than 8000 metres – has been a great fan of Grower’s Cup since its introduction to the UK.
Hinkes has been a larger than life figure in the outdoors for a number of years and more recently was chosen to carry the Olympic torch through Wetherby High Street, Yorkshire. Hinkes says: “Grower’s Cup has a fresh, clean taste and is organic with clear provenance. The unique fresh sealed packaging and brewing method means you can have a great drink of real coffee anywhere – just add hot water.”
Hinkes will be seen at trade shows and at his various lectures with Grower’s Cup as well as tweeting, posting on Facebook and including in his blogs. In addition he will help with marketing activities related to the brand.
Ralph White, managing director, Rosker, UK distributor of Grower’s Cup said: “We’re looking forward to working with Alan – he’s a massive fan of Grower’s Cup and what better ambassador for a brand than someone who believes in it with passion.”
